Meet The Jury
Murat is Lecturer in Cinematic Arts, Ulster University and holds a Ph.D. in Communication and Culture ad MA in Film from York University, Canada. Previously he was an Associate Professor of Cinema and Media studies at Kadir Has University where he was department chair of New Media and Director of MA in Filmmaking. Previously he has taught cinema and media studies in Canada between 1999-2006 at York University, Ryerson University and University of Toronto. Murat is also an established filmmaking with award winning short films such as The Gift funded by NS Screen.
Keith is an award-winning filmmaker based in the North of Ireland. He trained in film with a BA (Hons) from the University of East Anglia and a Masters degree in Film Production from the University of Ulster. He is also a writer, DoP, producer and occasional character actor & voice artist. He has screened work all over the world. Some of his films include the short fiction film Jam (2009), A short film about fear (2014) and 'Saving Santa' (2017). He also made a series of four documentary films ‘An Colaiste Éireannach’ (The Irish College) (2015) for the BBC, about four 17th C seminaries. He directed the feature film drama ‘The Prince of Pies’ in 2018, and has two short dramas ‘Pat’ and ‘Rian’, and a feature documentary ‘Border Tales’ ready to come out. His current film ‘A Bitter Pill’ is a hard-hitting short film drama, and it's currently in post-production. He has other projects in development at the moment, and will be co-producing a feature about St. Colmcille this summer. He makes both fiction and documentary in English and Irish for both Irish and international audiences.
